Week Eighteen

365 in 2009!

Sunday: Rain and rain and rain.
Sunday
It rained and rained and rained and rained.
I spent the day in bed.

Monday: Craig & the arrival of the Express
Monday
Craig & i sat on the new bench at the train station & I took this as the Wairarapa Express streamed by.

Tuesday: Cenotaph & Beehive at night
Tuesday
Leaving work late, the sky much darker than usual, the Cenotaph all lit up and the lights are on at the Beehive behind.

Wednesday: Anzac Flowers
Wednesday
Half a week and a lot of rain later, the majority of the ANZAC flowers at the cenotaph remain.

Thursday: Swine Flu Precautions
Thursday
Swine Flu makes me roll my eyes. All of a sudden there are "flu" warning posters in the elevators and multiple mini bottles of hand sanitiser in every bathroom.

Friday: Craig at my office
Friday
I was working late, again, Craig came by to wait in the warmth until I was done. I asked him to hold my rings while I moisturised my hands and he was amused that they fit this far onto his pinky finger when they are kind of loose on my ring finger.

Saturday: Monet Exhibition
Saturday
I spent the afternoon with my mother, we had lunch at Wagamama's and went to the Monet exhibition.
It was impressive but not as impressive as the Musée d'Orsay. Sigh. I miss Paris.

Pink Eyeshadow - 12 hours later
This horrifying picture is to indicate that I kept eyeshadow on for 13 hours!
My secret? mixing it with eyedrops before application, making a little paste on my hand and then applying it. Mainly under my eye because I was wearing glasses that day and my eyelid is less visible.

Two of my favourite people ...

This is my iPhone wallpaper at the moment.

Sir C and Kat at her Au Revoir party. They think they look silly. I think they look drunk and adorable.

Plus, this way, when I check the time on my phone it looks like they're blowing me kisses.

Wearing Chartreuse and the black pearl earrings I made.

Tuesday: Sunny lunchtime
Tuesday
It may have been chilly but the sun was out so I made the most of it.

Wednesday: Hmmm.
Wednesday
I never did like that Gandhi guy. Maybe he means paparazzi? I'm sure he'd think I was lovely.

Thursday: Starbucks after a stressful meeting
Thursday
A healthy choice lunch after a stressful meeting.

Friday: Poppy Day
Friday
Poppy Day.

Saturday: Knitting.
Saturday
I spent Anzac Day at home, knitting. Or rather, testing to see if I could remember how to knit. Answer? uhh kinda.

Oh, how I heart Karen Walker

Oh Darling Hearts

Karen Walker is maybe not my favourite New Zealand designer but I simply cannot cannot cannot get these sunglasses out of my head:

It's the grape colour that makes my heart patter.

Because this is turning out to be a no-good, very-bad week ...

Kat's 25th

Here's a photo of Kat's adorable puppy gnawing on my thumb.

p.s. That's Craig's manlymanly arm at the bottom of the shot. I am not that hirsute.
p.p.s. The puppy is a chocolate labradoodle (labraDOODLE!) called Bailey and is pretty much the cutest thing ever.
p.p.p.s. With me? puppies are like babies. I distrust them generally, like a few, am definitely not ready for one of my own.
p.p.p.p.s. Sir C and I will probably eventually get a cat rather than a dog anyway. You can't parallel that one to babies.

Another dead horse!

Craig never really wore those glasses again. I wonder why.

Week Sixteen

365 in 2009!

Sunday: Easter Egg
Sunday
Zombie-Jesus day. I ate an egg. Or two.

Monday: Auckland Airport. Gherkins!
Monday
A lazy last day in Auckland.
Craig in the McDonalds at Auckland Airport. This is, however, the moment I realised that I quite like Gherkins.
Year upon year of whipping them out of burgers without trying them and now? mm-mmm.

Tuesday: $1.60 to my name
Tuesday
The day before payday and we had $1.60 to our names, after doing things like providing lunch and travel of course.

Wednesday: Must remember to go to this Ex.
Wednesday
Checking the dates of the Monet exhibition. Thankfully I still have a couple of weeks!

Thursday: Nailpolish Tester
Thursday
After lunch with my favourite Petra, we wandered a department store and I tried out nailpolishes.

Friday: my cute, UNIQUE, shoes
Friday
My afternoon was veryvery quiet. I loved the shoes I was wearing. My totally, completely UNIQUE* shoes.

Saturday: Raspberry and Feijoa Gelato
Saturday
At a fabric fair in Brooklyn, I sat in the sun and ate Raspberry and Feijoa Gelato.
It was delicious but by the end I was so cold I had to put my jacket on.

I Tweet Too Damn Often...

ohdarling: Drinking Cranberry juice with a splash of Rosewater. But no Jameson. It's a Virgin Rosebud! (dirty)

With a few simple (inappropriate) (or HILARIOUS) words, I realised that I have sent THREE THOUSAND twitter messages.

Either I spend way way too much time on Twitter, orrrrrrrr perhaps I've just been using twitter for a long long time. And I have! since April something-or-other 2007. Two years, most definitely.
I only tweet (on average) 4.10958904 times a day. That's nothing!

Okay. So I just went back over allallall my twitter messages and my very first one was in MARCH 2007 :
