Week Forty-Five

365 in 2009!

Sunday: Waterloo Station
The trains were running the wrong way. It was strange waiting on the opposite side of the station. Little things,

Monday: Sore Wrist
I hurt my wrist on Sunday (opening a door. I have ridiculously weak wrists) and had to wear a brace. I covered the karate-man icon (my injury was much more lame) with my vintage Rome souvenir scarf.

Tuesday: Downloading photos from Flickr
I accidentally deleted all my photos off my macbook. I know I should have a back up but I just haven't gotten around to it.
Thankfully I found a programme where you can download all your photos off flickr. It just took forever and a day.
(6,000 photos!)

Wednesday: Strange Fringe
I switched to glasses for a few days before going to Japan. I didn't want my eyes to hate me or my contact lenses to wear out.

Thursday: Picking up Wine
Picking up wine as a thank you to Tim for letting us take up his spare room during our time in Japan.

Friday: a note from Jayne
A note left by my baby sister as she left for school before I got up. Usually it's the other way around but I had taken the day off to pack! We flew to Auckland that evening.

The first time this year I have completely missed a day. I was doing so well!
We left Auckland at ridiculously-early-o'clock, spent 12 hours on a plane, met Tim at Kansai Airport, felt overwhelmed by Japan, and Osaka, went out for Korean BBQ then drinks, and crashed in to bed just after midnight.
I should have taken photos but it just completely slipped my mind.

Excited but Sore
I look exhausted. Behind me the bed is covered with clothes folded and ready to be packed.

  1. Ohhhh! I was probably chatting too much. I WAS thinking about how it was funny you hadn't cracked out the camera seeing that there was all this interesting new stuff - I guess I should have pointed it out X(

  2. Wow, what a beautiful tattoo. You do look tired - just like I do right before a trip. All the preparation wears me out! (This is fresita from LJ.)

  3. Tim - No no! it's not you, I was having a great time and was a little tired.

    Lorenia - thank you!
