365 in 2011

Sunday
The sun was out and I was a lady of leisure. So I took my book (read: kindle (read: kindle app on iPhone)) and headed to the waterfront to read and people-watch.


Monday
An amazing dawn - the light was perfect.


Tuesday
Whenever one of my coworkers sees Cherry Coke, she always buys me a can. I like this pavlovian response.


Wednesday
The view on the way home isn't too bad either.


Thursday
I went to the launch of Meadowlark's Arrowhead jewellery range. I bought a gorgeous ring that Craig will be giving me for Christmas then smashed a glass and left in shame. It was a night of extremes.


Friday
One day soon I will tire of waterfront photos. I hope.

Summer is coming. The sun is still up on our way back into town.

November SEVENTH and the Christmas tree is already up in Midland Park.

Difficult day. But the reflection was lovely.

My tattoo artist gave my tattoo a teeny tiny touch up. It was just a smidge patchy. It's perfect now.

There was ... something? about the date? I can't remember. Something.

Bunnyhead people and tattoo book. This is how I choose to decorate.

Afternoon coffee with a friend. The sun was out & even the brickwork was in flower.


Monday
Craig, my sister, and I went for Japanese food pre-John Waters (which was a-mazing, by the way).


Tuesday
A busy day, a late night, and a terrible photo.


Wednesday
I love weddings! This one is for two of my favourite people as well. Bonus.


Thursday
Heading to work early in the morning - I had work to do before a meeting.

I very much enjoy the sun on the water. I take far too many photos.

Wanderlust

November 2009 - Japan

In the early mornings, if the weather isn't perfect and I have to skip the waterfront, I walk past two hotels and a backpackers.
Sleepy tourists, bulging bags, hotel breakfasts.
I miss travelling.

Sunday
In the Backbencher, surrounded by puppets, I watched the All Blacks win the Rugby World Cup.


Monday
The next morning the Fanzone was already being deconstructed.


Tuesday
A very cheerful mural near the Wondapartment. I do not think it constitutes graffiti.


Wednesday
I saw the All Blacks victory parade & Brad Thorn raising the Web Ellis cup.


Thursday
I look out for this little guy every time I walk to work the Wakefield Street way.


Friday
My first ever blood test. Yes, first ever. I have always been remarkably healthy. Even this one was just routine.


Saturday
I bought studded loafers. Indeed I did.

Graffiti near the wondapartment. Craig & I were headed to the supermarket for dinner. We ended up buying pizza.
Terrible plan.

Sunlight fingers through the clouds on the walk to work.

Headed out to Eastbourne for the last time for a long while.

A strange strange day. But! There are posters everywhere for John Waters' one-man show. I'm so excited.


Saturday
Craig and I went out to see the Devil's Tongue flower. It smells like rotting meat and only flowers once every seven years. I've wanted to see one for years now.
I was mildly disappointed. We may have just caught it when the smell was waning (it comes in waves) but it didn't really smell like anything, save perhaps compost. But I am glad I saw it.
